How to tune up the guitar and bass

Friday, February 25, 2011

(Tune up) guitar and bass is actually quite similar. The structure of tone on the bass and guitar strings are also quite similar. In the normal bass - four strings, the following note on each strings:

    * String one = G
    * String two = D
    * String three = A
    * String four = E

Strings of one to four on the bass has a tone similar to the strings of four to six on guitar (The order of strings in accordance with the order of the diameter / thick string).

Well, how nyetem own bass guitar and some use the tuner (tune up tools) and some use the normal way. When using a tuner, find the appropriate tuner to the frequency of these tools. On the guitar around 80 Hz - 5 kHz while the bass 40 Hz - 2 kHz. There is a tuner that is only for one type of instrument and any tuner that can be used for guitar and bass. So please vote effectively.

The next way, the usual way - without tools. This method is sufficient to equate one of the strings. I explained how nyetem on guitar just because the bass is almost the same. First, match one string with the appropriate tone. It's up to the strings which, in accordance with a clear tone. Could use a keyboard, brass, and equate to a CD, mp3 songs. In this case, your hearing ability is required. When you equate one string (usually a string one), then adjust with the following list:

    * Strings 1 - open-string = string 2 fret 5 = E
    * Strings 2 - open-string = string 3 fret 4 = B
    * Strings 3 - open-string = string 4 fret 5 = G
    * Strings 4 - open-string = string 5 fret 5 = D
    * Strings 5 - open-string = string 6 fret 5 = A

Tip: if the sound is not the same strings (tuned), then you hear a bumpy read "waw-waw-waw" when the strings sounded together - for example an open string string with string 2 fret 5. When the tone is the same, then the sound will be heard clearly, not humming "waw-waw-waw".
